Housing Advisor's can also help with the following:
’0R Liaison with landlords or householders
’0R Referrals and negotiations with other agencies
’0R Advice on the prevention of homelessness
’0R Advice and assistance with Welfare including Housing Benefit and applying for Discretionary Housing Payments.
Young People Moving into the Wirral and looking to get onto the property Ladder will now have more help in part to A Guide (to Housing Options for Young People) leaflet has been produced by an enthusiastic team of professionals and young people from a wide range of services throughout the Wirral.
The reason for the leaflet is because it has been recognised by young people that there are a variety of people and services out there that can help young people to access county services, instead of being difficult and time consuming.
On the link, there is a wide variety of housing providers and a list of different agencies displayed in a friendly way, which isn't confusing...hopefully...and we trust that it will help you to sort out any problems that you may have or help you find housing easier.
The traditional way to make your first steps onto the housing market is to rent a property with a friend or partner and share the cost of bills and living expenses. Renting a property in Wirral for the first time is also a great experience in being away from parents for the first time. This freedom allows young people the opportunity to take their first steps on the property ladder without exposing them to maximum risk if they join together.
